Onchofin 250mg Tablet contains terbinafine hydrochloride, an antifungal medication from the allylamine class. It's taken orally to treat fungal infections of the skin, scalp, and nails (dermatophyte infections) that haven't responded well to topical antifungal treatment alone. It works by interfering with a fungal enzyme needed to build the fungal cell membrane, which stops the fungus from growing. Some people notice a change or temporary loss of taste while taking this medicine, which usually resolves after stopping treatment but can occasionally last longer. Because terbinafine is processed by the liver, your doctor may check liver function before and during a longer course of treatment.

The usual adult dose is one 250mg tablet once daily.
